2 Glow in the Dark Tape Options for Your Glow Party

Glow in the dark tape can come in handy for your glow party.  There are a variety of adhesives that you might consider for the different needs of your party.  Let’s take a look at 2 of the most popular types of tape and some ideas on how to use them for your party.

It’s important to understand, like most things that are photoluminescence, that the amount of time it will stay illuminated is limited.  Once charged by shining light on it, glow tape will glow anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on the quality of the tape.

The good news is, the tape will still react to your black lights so you have a back-up plan if your glow does not last as long as your party.

JVCC manufactures one of the best lines of glow int he dark tape on the market.  They come in multiple widths in rolls of 30 feet.  It is similar to masking tape but not quite as flexible.  It is glossy and has a plastic like quality to it.   Plus, it has a backing that must be peeled off (which also glows!) so working with long strips can be a bit tricky.  The adhesive can withstand multiple applications and in some instances has been reported to hold its ‘stickiness’ quite well for many months!

After a few minutes of charging using natural or atrificial light, this glow tape will be its brightest for up to 30 minutes – and keep its glow for another few hours.  You will find this tape being used in many commercial uses but it works great for glow parties.  Use it for floor safety, on walls, table edges, and more.  This tape also sticks to some fabrics so use it to create a skeleton or TRON costume for your theme party!  Wrap it around hula hoops.  Write on it with sharpie marker for cool effects.
